Gillette Stadium Booth

Old Colony needs your help to operate our booth at Gillette Stadium during the 2008 season. From April through December, we expect 20-25 home events, between N.E. Revolution soccer matches, concerts, and N.E. Patriots games. If we fill all dates with 16 to 19 volunteers, we stand to make over $20,000 for our home-building projects.

Each of us can help out in the following ways:

  • Booth Supervisors: We need 5 people to share the supervisor function. The supervisor arrives early (4 hours before event kickoff), organizes and trains volunteers, inventories stock, handles cash turn-ins (we’ll get a check later for 10.5% of the gross), collates tips for direct turn-in to the affiliate Treasurer, and supervises all aspects of booth operations during the event.
  • “Regulars”: We need 10 people who are willing to work 5 to 10 (or more, if desired) of the events, using the experience gained to help supervise the kitchen and the serving line. Regulars should also arrive early to help with setup.
  • Volunteers : We need at least 10 volunteers to fill out the crew for each event. Volunteers show up three hours before kickoff. If everyone in the Old Colony volunteer database signs up for two events, we’ll have full staffing for the season! Spread it out – pick a soccer game and a Patriots game.

Volunteers should wear khaki pants or shorts and closed-toe shoes. The stadium will provide hats, aprons and polo shirts. Be sure to bring a photo ID.

This is a big commitment, but our success last year indicates we can do even better by spreading the opportunity to serve among the entire volunteer base. Additionally, it’s fun, and it’s a great team builder for our affiliate’s members!

How do I sign up? Either e-mail Glenn Weidner (fr@oldcolonyhabitat.org) with name, date desired, shirt size, address (so we can mail you a parking pass), phone and e-mail, or just click on the desired event below and fill in the blanks. Let us know if you’re interested in being a Supervisor or a Regular. A parking pass will be mailed out a week before each event.

The Patriots schedule (12 home games from late August through December) has not been released yet. We’ll get them out as soon as they’re confirmed.

No dates are currently available.
